You were celebrating the continuation of emergency base rates.
    Right here..http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=48735551&postcount=4..:D

Though you've clearly been forced to have a bit of a rethink on how you spin it.

No sign of celebrating there geneer, do you always see the negative in everything?

Come to thing of it I can't ever remember seeing a post from you that offers unconditonal support or sympathy to a fellow poster on this site. My recollections of your posts are that you are either arguing, criticising, berating or being sarcastic to someone.

  • 1.If you shrink the public sector where is the work coming from?
2.If you wean people off benefits - whos picking up the high rental tabs?
3.If you loosen employment laws - wont wages drop? wont that lessen what people can afford to pay in mortgage/reny payments.
4.If you get away from borrowing, where is the money to support the economy coming from?

Not saying I dont agree with the sentiments - just how its achievable in reality.

    1. It isn't, unemployment is going up for some time yet.

    2. No one, rents will fall when the props (housing ben) are taken out.

    3. Yes it will, repossessions will skyrocket. Nothing can stop this happening now, it is inevitable.

    4. It isn't we are looking at a prolonged downturn could be worse than the great depression.

i don'tthink any govt has the balls to take the required measures to deal with the problems
the usa borrowed $2trillion just ot keep afloat and is planning to make $2trillion of cuts which presumeably will still leave it in the mire - we either need to pay more tax or make cuts , average earners haven't got the money to pay more tax and it will probably be them in the firing line for cuts
  • I think if it ever come to it (hope it doesn't of course) we would see that empathy again as people got some perspective about what actually matters.

Money only matters if everything else is in harmony. i.e. health, family and my dog (you might laugh but my dog means the world to me).

I would like to think so.

(and you are not alone, I have two doggies, I think I actually like them more than a lot of people! I couldnt be without them)

Have you read that post on this site on the pets forum about the lab cross (mines a lab/springer cross) that's been missing since bonfire night, I would be devastated if that was my dog:

I do actually believe that I am a nice person, but I do have extreme difficulty in imagining the same of you.
