Completely agree CW, when I explain to people in work about my shopping and couponing most are very negative about it all, yet they all have families and claim money is tight. I just don't understand why people don't want to reduce their shopping bill by 80%! SJ

Same here. I am always sending eldest child - email and sometimes texts as well, helpful hints to reduce her food budget and links for print off coupons etc and also I let her know if there is going to be any useful coupons in newspapers. Mostly it falls on deaf ears.
This weekend I knew about the freebies in the Telegraph including the free silk tie in the Sunday Telegraph. I thought that she might have one of the stores you can collect them from in her city. But as she normally ignores my pearls of wisdom I didnt bother forwarning her about the free silk tie promotion.
So I get an annoyed phone call yesterday afternoon from her. She had been all over the city and nobody had any Sunday Telegraphs left and the free silk tie store was bursting at the seams with people collecting their ties. She was very cross with me for not warning her beforehand about this promotion.

I totally agree with you both, it's as if couponing is something shameful. One of my friends really hurt me when she called me something after I asked for her cc points (she doesn't have a cc)Like Doc says, I'm not tight but I like my money to stay in my bank account, or at least spend it on something fun
