When you say 'last minute odds and ends' CW my DH is actually including our TURKEY in that :eek:. He is convinced there will be lots of turkeys going cheap today and is determined to grab himself a bargain . I'm not so sure, so am sneakily defrosting pieces of beef and pork (and fattening up DD's manic budgie) - just in case!

Went to asda this morning and there wasn't many turkeys left at all. Hope your OH managed to get one.:)

DS got a load of receipts this morning at asda and of the 6 we have done so far, 1 was worthless, but one was for £8.88. Total of the 5 receipts we have put through the apg - just over £19.00.

Tonight is a big feast:D:D:D German salami, smoke bacon, cooked ham, whole turkey, spuds, spring rolls, vegs, loadsa loadsa meat:eek::eek: dessert yam cakes & log cakes.

That is why I got confused with Christmas dine dine. In Germany & where I am they eat on Christmas eve whereby in UK we eat on Christmas day.:o

My DS has tried a couple of different asda's and some are definately better than others for womblers.

One asda, the store I prefer to use but no chance of a womble.

The one we went to this morning was great as we went at 8.00 oclock and he thinks the cleaners hadn't started yet so he got in first.

In fact he got out of the car and shot off like a bullet out of a gun as he had spotted a long receipt nearby.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I wondered where he had gone to until he showed me a lovely big receipt.

So, don;t give up, you never know your luck.

DS is till coughing MT, he got scared last night, not sure what happened, he was standing by the bed, saying he was scared, climbed in with us, 7am I put him back in his bed.

I am ill now, coughing, sneezing. Sneezed so hard earlier, nearly put my back out!

Can't do 4 more pages of drivel at 40 posts got to go out and do stuff...

sorry to hear that A, we always seem to have someone here ill at xmas.
OH still not past it but don't think pain is that bad at the moment but certainly fed up.
he has to go back early jan so we'll see what they say.
