Hi Everyone, :santa2:
Hope everyone's well.
Sorry not been around for a while but glad to see the thread is still going strong.
Going for an op in the New Year, so have been trying to get everything straight before then. Hopefully will have plenty of time to catch up whilst I am recouperating - glad to see there are still old names along with some new ones.
Still not bought a turkey , hoping there might be some bargains tomorrow - if not, DD's manic budgie is looking quite tasty.
Have a fantastic Christmas and a brilliant New Year :xmassmile

xmas soon, humbugs
weather is rainy. town centre was packed i heard. nothing exciting to report on. bought most my stuff online, like dvds and cds, and argos, how can you buy for people who either dont want anything, or are not bothered?.
Why do we all go mad at xmas though, do people enjoy xmas?. how do people enjoy all crowding into a shop, squabbling over the food etc.
i think its fine if you have no kids, you can not really bother with xmas, but if you have kids you feel like you HAVE to have xmas, thankfully i have no kids. So can have my xmas dinner and watch tv in peace, not having to worry about kids
And don't kids, throw away the toy, and play with the box anyway?.
Sales are starting already, and after xmas no one will have any money left to buy anything, then theres the ones who buy stuff for next year!. i went to the sales once, and swore never again to go!.
I have been moping at home with the cold anyway, glad i started my xmas shopping october 31st
wrapped pressies up last week i think it was. now just waiting for it all to be over
it would be fine if we where Christians, but i think people have kinda made it into just a excuse to sell toys and whatever else. Then there's the whole thing of opening a pressie and trying to be surprised, even though the shape of it, is in the shape of a pair of socks, or something like a bottle of wine shape, :rotfl:
Maybe i'm getting old and moany?. I think so.
Hey isn't . erm............. tomorrow night?. isnt that the day to go to marks and spencer for the bargains just before closing time?.
Ah well, i hope you all have a nice christmas and ignore my scrooge like post_Jen_0 -
I have no idea how Sainsbury's price match works cos it wasn't right in my case.:mad::mad: Luckily I knew exactly how much my voucher should be for and complained, eventually getting the 76p I was due which then promptly went in the local hospice tin on the CS desk. It was the principle of it, Sainsburys wouldn't let me off 76p.
I bought 1 x Case Of Blue WKD Sains £13.49, Asda £8) http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/#/shopping/findproducts.aspx?query=blue%20wkd
and
3 x Packs of Huggies Wipes (Sainsurys £2.59 Asda 3 for £2.50) http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/#/shopping/findproducts.aspx?query=higgies%20wipes
The Sainsburys price as per my supermarket was £21.26, I should have received a voucher back for £10.76 as the price in Asda would have been £10.50, but my voucher was for £10.
BTW I paid £8.26 cash as I used £6 LV, £4 cond spend and 3 x £1 wipes coupons. Next time I will do the same shop and pay £4.26 cash as I have no LV left but will have the £10 and £4 cond spend plus the £3 wipes, so a case of Blue WKD for £4.26 and another £10 voucher back:j:j:j It's a shame I only have 2 more £4 cond spends:DBe thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

X-Bunny are you my twin :eek::eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I buy only for my OH and then not a lot as we agreed ( well I told him;)) that we don't have a lot of dosh and anyway I buy stuff we both want/need when I see if on offer somewhere during the year. He offered to take me into town either tomorrow or after christmas and buy me some clothes, but I said it was a waste of dosh as just buying for the sake of it and anyways I just bought some new pj's from Tesco (well they gave them to me;)) and that was all I wanted. I told him his prezzie to me can cost him nothing but his time. So for christmas I am getting my enourmous:eek::eek: pile of ironing done (new clothes really as not seen some of the stuff at the bottom for 6+ months:o:o). We will have a quiet christmas dinner and a few drinks and really it will be like having a sunday dinner only a bit posher:cool:
Your right tomorrow around 3pm I will be in M&S spending my £95 worth of vouchers and my £5 off coupons on (hopefully) some megga expensive but reduced "posh and lovely" food.:D
I hope you enjoy your day, be grateful you ain't got loadsa kids with loud toys :eek: I am.Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)
