Help Needed Please

Hi everyone,

Ive just registered to ask you all a quick question really. Will I be able to arrange a debt management thingy if I only owe money to one creditor - namely my bank, I have a massive overdraft, unsecured personal loan and also a huge credit card bill. Unfortunately I do not have internet access but my kind friend has borrowed me her comp for a few hours:o

Ive looked at hundreds of pages and whilst they are all really helpful all the companies ive managed to look at say that you need to have 3 different creditors. Is this really the case with payplan and cccs:confused:

I dont know the answer I'm afraid - I think the best thing to do is give them a quick call and ask them!

If you've only got the one creditor have you talked to them about it???

no, it makes no sense to involve a DMP company to talk to one creditor

    a. open a new bank a/c with a unrelated bank and get all your income paid into it
    b. prepare a realistic SOA
    c. explain the situation to your bank and pay what you can afford

post your SOA here if you would like advice from here.
  • I know for a fact if you had enough money you could have a DMP with CCCS for the above accounts.

Although technically it's only one creditor it is in fact 3 accounts, the loan creditor, the overdraft and the Credit card. so if you really think a dmp is the only way give CCCS or Payplan as i'm sure they work in a similar way a call.

Firstly i would suggest you do a full SOA and see if there are any areas that can be tightened to allow you to make contractual payments to the above before looking at making reduced payments through a DMP company.

    Good luck
