I think i may have got one with maristoa ??? we shall see.
im aware i can have only a small limit of credit.
I am buying something cheap to build up the option if needed .if only life was a box of chocs0 -
Every situation will be different. All you can do is try and see what happens. I think there was a thread a week or so ago where a member tried to purchase direct through a website but by completing checkout ended up with a credit limit. Might be worth searching for that thread to see if it was during BR and which 'shop' it was. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

You are braver than me. The whole idea of obtaining credit in the future scares me. I never want credit again - except a mortgage I can easily afford. I have had enough stress with debt to last me several life times.0

How are you going to get a mortgage with out building your credit rating up?
You need to take out credit to raise it.0 -
i remember in the good old days going for a mortage and being declined , because i had no credit.
so i got 120k credit cards expenditure and approval on 9 buy to lets after going and getting some credit.
i got a bit as tiny as it today , so when i want to change my life in 6 years its a start to moving forward.
sadly no credit will equal no credit , but a bit , and paid off in time that is more than affordable will go along way to a better life.if only life was a box of chocs0 -
Fair point Kepar and I guess I will have to at some point. The idea does fill me with dread though...0

It does to all, but many here say the same they do not want any more credit , yet they yearn for a mortgage.
Take your time and build slowly.
If this new Government scheme of lending 95% goes ahead, who knows in time they may even take ex-bankrupts.0 -
I know you have gotten one now, but the John Williams group is quite "lax" on this too. I started with a few hundred pounds during my BR year and was surprised they offered credit to me.0
