Are these cartridge refilling things any good?

I've seen these cartridge refilling things at PC World and it seems to be an easier solution to refilling than mucking about with a syringe and so forth. But has anyone actually ever tried using one of these? My printer takes 56 and 57 cartridges so I though these might be worthwhile.

I didn't know what kind of thing existed - seems interesting, shame is I have an HP 7260 and apparently it's not a model supported by that system.

Well, I took the plunge and tried a cartridge refilling thingy for my Canon the other day. The refilling kit cost me a fiver, as opposed to £15 for a new cartridge.

It wasn't as messy as I anticipated - the kit I had came all ready to roll, and within a few minutes it was done. Messiest bit was when there was a bit of excess ink that spilled out of the cartridge, but I had wipes to hand!

I wouldn't refill the same cartridge over and over, and I'm not sure how I'd get on with colour cartridges, but I'd definitely refill each cartridge at least once in its lifecycle!
