Marriage and Will Question?

Hi,
Here's a scenario I hope people can answer. My parent’s house is bought out right, no mortgage on it. The house is in my Mums name only. My parents are not separated, they live together.
If my mum were to have a will written so that one of her sisters was the full beneficiary of the house, would my Dad be able to block this and still retain the house as he is married to my mum?
Where money is concerned family's can get nasty and I need to know the answer to this as my mum has a particularly jealous sister who has the potential to talk her into doing the above.
Please no question about how crazy my family is, just an answer if you know the answer, I’d be very grateful.
Thanks in advance!

suggesting that contesting the will could be at least partly successful0 -
The Inheritance (provision for family and dependants) Act 1975.
a good way of making lawyers rich?
Is there good reason why the sister thinks she has an "entitlement" to the house?
Most families would leave the house to the surviving spouse ("interest in possession") and on the second death to their children.0 -
Are they married?
