Read on bbc site.
hungry asking imf for bailout.
They part of eu but not eurozone
oddly a lot of people in hungry have morgages on swiss franc different to their currency which is causing issues.
also think government made a right mess.
I know its some obscure country
but as we so interlinked wonder which countries bank have exposure to hungarian debt?
telegraph said greece as if greek banks not screwed enough.
Think austria also has some of their debt.
The article i read said could be problems with a few eastern european coiuntries.
all euro markets down yesterday.
Think they need a solution before trouble spreads as instead of too big to fail will be too much to save!
Hope france has not

You should add a poll "Do you know where Hungary is?"

I couldn't pick it out on a map.0 -

Hungary already defaulted a few months ago, re-denominating debt to their currency. So I think most of the fall out has already happened.
( Most people were watching Greece's kamikaze dive into destruction to notice ).
Most of eastern europe is completely screwed already: to all extents and purposes their banking systems collapsed right at the start of the lehmen crises.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I guess we think we immune to it?
wonder how much debt uk banks are exposed to with eastern european countries?
It seems few european banks are.
if so many countries default that that will hit even healthy countries if their banks are screwed france being one of them, in danger losing their AAA credit rating.
greece and spain seem to be main focus right now.
all gone quiet on greece have they ratified and received next bailout money?
thourght they would run out of money by end of month.
Think greek banks the most healvily invested in hungry anyway makes it worse.
seems like neverending bad news.pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:
