Xmas - 23/12 for 4 nights = £87 Full Board

Before I go any further, many people will have opinions on Britannia Hotels - we've never had any issues with them.

So, what's the deal.....

They have a sale on at various hotels at the moment and you can get a 4 night Christmas break (23/12 - 27/12) for just £99pp

Book thru Groupon and get 12% cashback (last couple of days to get this as normally 6%).

That means a full board holiday over xmas at just £87 for 4 nights - BARGAIN.

Their hotel in Birmingham is right next to the Bull Ring shopping centre and is on the main shopping street (new street). The train stn is just a couple of minutes walk away too.

ALSO, you can get a twixmas break of £55pp (less quidco cashback of £6.60) making just £48.50 for 3 nights full board. 27/12 - 30/12 for that one.

AND, they are also doing a 3 night new year break for £99pp (£87 with quidco). 30/12 - 02/01 for new year dates.

All breaks include bingo, quizzes and a disco each night. The Birmingham hotel is so close to bars/clubs that you could just go out each night.

There are a few other hotels doing this really low rate too.

Hi the above offer sounds good however I would steer clear of the birmingham one as it is right in the heart of the city centre literally next door to primark and opposite pizza hut it is very noisy and run down I can understand people may wnat to be in the heart of the city but this particular one is a no..no..:(

Have YOU actually stayed at the Birmingham hotel?

We've now been for the last 3 christmas breaks.

Yes, the rooms are dated but they are clean.

We always ask for the same rooms at the front of the hotel - and there is very little noise. That part of Birmingham doesnt have a lot of nightlife (10min walk away on Broad Street area) so you dont get the drunken late night stuff.

During the day, the main shopping street in front of the hotel is very busy - and if you're just going to sit in your room all day then you will notice general noise.

Like I said in my first paragragh, Britannia is not for everyone but these prices are just crazy - remember, we're talking full board over christmas / new year.

Unless the food at the Llandudno Grand has changed since August don't bother with that one! Meat was processed, the veggies were all frozen and the potatoes tinned!
