Three words...pad and pencil. Get yourself a little A6 pad and a small pencil. Rule three columns, one for the name of the item, one for location/type and one for amount. Fill in as appropriate when you spend ANYTHING

Yeah and take all that everywhere you go. If youve got an iphone already it's a no-brainer, it's 69p, and the pad on it's own would cost you more than that! And who has the time? Be serious!

    Seriously?

    1) Iphone on contract at a nominal £35 per month contracted for 24 months is £840 at least. You could buy a sim unlocked version for less but be that as it may, you can get ALLOT of pens and paper for that.

    2) No time for a spending diary? People come to this board because they are in serious financial difficulty. We're usually quite nice and non judgmental, but if someone takes the time to tell you how to get yourself out of a mess and you continue to ignore them, they tend to be less inclined to help you further. More to the point, if one 'doesnt have time' to pay attention to one's spending like an adult, one deserves all the s**t they get.
