Leaving just the amount for wonga.
True to their word they just took the agreed amount, no nasty suprises.

5 months to go and I will have got rid of this stupid loan, it's the one that has worried and cost me the most. The repayment plan has allowed me to repay the loan with what is less than the monthly interest.

Let's just hope wonga stick to their side ofthe bargain!

How do you know they didn't try several times to get more before they took just what had been agreed?

  • wonga have been ok with me too.

they froze my account for 38 days until my dmp was set up and agreed to the offer of £12 straight away (£1138 owed)

I have had phone calls of them saying no payments have been made and that I owe the balance immediatley but this has been sorted as they had problems with their computer systems were the hardship team system was informing the collections department systems.
  • Intriging to read about your experiences - perhaps Wonga are one of the better ones then? I know Martin was debating whether to do a Payday loan best buy type thing. It's nice to know they are being reasonable about things - perhaps they realise that there is money in being responsible?

  • There have been many instances of Wonga, amongst others, failing to keep to agreed repayment plans in the past.

Let us hope that they have changed their ways.

Doubtless, others on this Forum will keep us all informed as to their future behaviour. We will keep our fingers crossed.
