Yes- go to the jobcentre and ask to be referred to Learn Direct to help you get into work,do 2 free courses with Learn Direct(must be level 2 courses) and you can then get an incentive course for free-I know they do forklift, CSCS courses etc

Just a quick look at learndirect and there is nothing listed for the DCPC, that I can see.

Worth trying the job advisor people though - not having a DCPC will mean that you won't get a job, so they should be able to fund something somewhere. If you do, don't forget that a standard ADR will count as 21 hours, so try and get that as well, kills two birds with one stone.

    Good Luck.

As daft as it may sound, but any course offered by a CPC-certified training provider counts towards your DPC. They were talking to such a provider on the radio a month or so back.

My bus-driver mate was put on a First Aid course to get his DCPC.

Also, you can repeat the same course over and over until you clock-up the required hours of training.
    Never Knowingly Understood.

It won't be listed because it's not run through them-you basically do 2 courses and then you qualify for an incentive course which includes the forklift and bookkeeping and cscs card and other courses. One of the guys doing IT with me was planning to do the forklift training right after.

  • Why can't anyone get a hgv licence? It's only driving Christ. It cost me 70 medical, 12 hazard perception, 28 multiple choice, 24 cpc case study, 145 cpc demonstration, 1245 4 day training and test. 32 tacho card. 125 quarry card. 40 golden rules card. Found a job same day tipping Tarmac as this is what I wanted to do. U can do what u want if u want it. I'm earning 850 a week and yes some days are longer than others but people always think grass is greener. I get out once a night to clean the tailboard what takes 2 mins. Rest in a lovely cab clean and warm. I look back now and wonder why everyone makes out its so hard. Truth is there jealous others found out it is easy lol:T
  • It's 80 pound do u really need help with that
  • I did all training myself while unemployed. I drive 8 wheeler dropping Tarmac 600 to 950 a week. Depends if that is enough money for u or not.
