when dealing with total country debt one must be be aware that some of this debt is backed by assets. that is the UK invests in overseas countries.

Then I would expect RBS to be highly profitable considering its overseas exposure.

well I was referring to assets rather than profits and in any event I have no specific knowledge of RBS debts / assets or profits but if you have please share them

The only asset the UK has is the labour of its people, they will be flogged to death to produce the fiscal investment required to service the ficticious debt.
Its all part of the same scam.

Don't mention the assets - they're the thing that will be quietly stripped for profit whilst the talking heads wail about their made up debt number.

Little point in owning assets if there not generating a return, as the sale of good NR demonstrates.

    rediculous

what possible point are you making

it's a state of the bleeding obvious

surely it's obvious that knowing only the debts is only half the story

whether assets generate profits is an interest but different story

many peolpe's houses generate no profits so not worth having?

I take it aggregate debt is not net debt. The thing about aggregate debt is you can have money trasnferred between many different people which multiplies the number of times that debt is counted on aggregate. But the net debt would be much smaller.

For example when I deposit £6k in a bank, im loaning them £6k. They then loan this to someone else, so aggregate debt for the UK is £12k, but net debt is 0.

With fractional banking isn't that multiplier closer to aggregate debt of £60k?
