Obviously likes to see how the other half live ! :rotfl:0 -
The reason why it is most the time is because most my flights are related to work which pays for business class. It isnt all the time because the flights I pay for are economy or with the likes of EasyjetAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

Hi
First post, so lets see if its useful.
1)For the question about Paris CDG, which terminal will you be flying into?
2) Lloyds TSB offer a Premier Card. Its similar to the AMEX Platinum Charge Card, but without the crazy price. For £4.95 for you get the card( standard credit check etc with all credit cards), and then they offer you a discounted Priority Pass membership, for £8.95, which allows access to lounges for free, and i think for your nominated partner as well.
3) You can get an AMEX Platinum charge card. Costs £300, which is quite a bit
4) You can subscribe to Priority pass on their £69 level, and pay for entry.
Be careful with Priority pass, as they have strict caveats. For example, you may need to be flying with an airline operating from the terminal where the lounge is. Eg, in CDG T2A, there is a "priority pass" lounge, but you must be flying from that terminal. Air France operate out of 2F to the UK, so just be careful.
Also, some of their lounges make you pay for drinks and food, and only allow hots drink for free.
Regarding the question about BA. Yes, you need to at Gold Exec Status to get into the lounge.
Hope it helps0 -
Am interested in getting a Priority Pass to use on my hols, and having a look at the thread, was goign to see the LLoyds card.
BUT,
http://www.lloydstsb.com/credit_cards/premier_card.asp
It is no longer available.
Anyone have any other suggestions bar the £300 AMEX charge, or going direclt with PP?One day I want to be the pigeon...... and not the statue!0 -
I've just flown to Australia and back Business Class with Emirates and it's worth every single penny. The Emirates Lounges vary between each city but access to them made life so much easier and comfortable. The Melbourne one was outstanding in service and amenities, the Singapore one more than comfortable, the Dubai one was much busier than any of the others as it's the main hub and was servicing many more flights than the others whilst the one at the UK airport was excellent.
Choice of hot foods, cold foods, sweet foods, wine, beer, champagne, soft drinks ... the list goes on. Showers, free internet access, newspapers and so on made a difficult trip much easier.
If you can pay for it then do it!0 -

Not always, it all depends on who you fly with. If you are flying business with BA you get access without exec status. With silver status you get access for yourself and one other if you are flying BA. You only need Gold status if you want to access the lounge when you're not on a BA flight.0 -
