My debt free diary, gonna be here a while!

Options
I have decided to make myself a diary to see if i can be better at paying off some debt this time, i keep making small inroads only to go back to square 1 a few months later,

I am due to have a baby in 7 weeks so really need to get myself on the straight and narrow.

We have a combined debt of £30,000 its that shocking!!

I am setting myself a goal of paying 1 debt at a time, i have about 14 i think so am going to have a good time counting down. I am currently getting £97 a week maternity so not got loads to throw at this debt.

I am going to use this diary to keep track of my ramblings and ideas and to hopefully keep track of any extra money i make daily, will also keep a track of payments made. Havent added up todays measley earnings so will start in earnest tomorrow, have made a payment though so can start on that now!

My first target is my lloyds card at £582 a small debt really but one i can work on daily, pay whilst others are getting paid and will be a good training debt!

Feel free to add tips (survey sites ets) and encouragement because i really dont want to fail this time.

Earnt £0, Paid £3.00

  • Not sleeping too well at the moment due to restless leg syndrome, cant last another 6 weeks of this, its so frustrating and leaves me so tired.

Went to see John Barrowman last night, it was amazing! tickets were bought in march so i am not counting it as a spend in my diary!

I managed to earn £8.40 yesterday and £8.97 payment to the lloyds card.

Looks like a slow day today so lets see how i get on!

  • Better day today,
Owed my parents £80, they sold some stuff for me that i wasnt expecting today so had £47 to pay them straight away that i wasnt expecting! My dad let me off the rest as long as i paid for tea!

I didnt count the £47 as i didnt know anything about it so i paid £22 and dont owe them anything now!

I did manage to ear £8.16 yesterday as my diary is always a day late and paid £1.97 off my card.

Probably wont pay anything off tomorrow but should be able to make another payment to the card on friday.

Got hospital appointment friday morning to see if i am going to be induced a little earlier so fingers crossed for that!

Up to £7.40 on my earnings so far today so hoping to make it a tenner by the end of the night...

  • Managed to make over the £10 i was hoping for, ended up with £12.84 so a bit of a bonus on top!.

No update from the bank so dont have a payment to make today, i will have tomorrow though, balance is looking good up to now but am aware i have to pay over £200 yet this month and still have a few xmas presents to get. Am hoping to keep it above the £1000 as my emergency fund.

Looking for a few more good paying survey sites and daily click sites that will be worth my while, thinking next year i will start an amazon fund, must set up new accounts and get that rolling.

  • Total earnings today were £12.24, paid £7.03 off the lloyds again so still some spare to go into my account when its totaled up,
Busy day today so i dont think earnings are going to be that good for today and the rest of the weekend,

Got between 4-6 weeks to get the £339 pram money together before baby comes and would also like to clear another bill in that time too,

Se how it all goes but still motivated for now.

I have it ordered at mothercare, i originally had delivery date and jan 2nd. I am 34 weeks today and will be checked weekly from 38 weeks as i am having a planned induction so i have to get a scoot on paying the balance, hoping to get some birthday money for my 40th next week so plan on using that to add towards it...fingers crossed, will probably end up with the usual life begins mugs and carp!

Did you fill in your basic info at superpoints? it hasnt confirmed you on my network yet.

  • Well yesterdays total money made is in, £8.75 so not too bad, aiming for about £10 a day if i can starting from monday. Paid £7.03 off lloyds card so just had a bit to spare.

No payments made so anything i earn the weekend will just be a profit for me.

Am actually starting to save a teeny weeny bit this month so fingers crossed it continues so i can have a little lump sum to clear a bill one day!

  • Been a rubbish few days, virgin are messing me about over a direct debit so i had no internet to work some shifts i had booked yesterday, really must try and do a few more hours there.

The weekend was quiet for me too, might have made about £15 but didnt pay anything off to bills so that will go to my account.

Paid £7.00 off my card this morning, its going down slowly but just the tip of a large iceberg to be honest, would like to see it going down faster but am a little afraid to leave my bank account too short in case i need the cash at some point. I know i could pay off lloyds and still be left with enough to last a while but feel like i need a bigger cushion to fall back on for the next time things go pear shaped! (i know it will happen!)

Have been told i am going to be induced so have about 5 1/2 weeks until little one joins us, i know i will be about £50 a week better off then but the cost of babies and loss of time means i might not be able to work so much on the net.

I also still have a few birthday and xmas presents to get from my bank balance yet so bearing that in mind too.

I will be 40 on sunday!! Want to be debt free by 50 which i think is realistic, not setting any stupid goals so i dont get disappointed and give up, am making a positive effort right now so want to carry on this way.

Rambled enough for today, couldnt sleep so thought an update was in order!
