CRB Disclsoure

I recently applied for a CRB due to being offered a new job working with children's records and received my copy of the disclosure in the post yesterday. I was looking through it and seen the following:

Police records of convictions, cautions, reprimands and warnings in one box, with my name, DOB (which is incorrect), last known occupation, and alias etc

It then goes on to list my cautions, reprimands and warnings in another box...

So I have two questions:

1) they have a last known occupation down, but I have never applied for a CRB before so how do they know?

2) why is my DOB incorrect?

Really confused about all this really :(

  • I would suggest ringing the CRB helpline tomorrow.

Are the convictions correct? If so, it does not necessarily exclude you from the job for which you have applied, but I would check them very carefully if there are other errors on the form.

The cautions are correct as they are from the county I now reside in, it shouldn't exclude me from the job as the offences are nothing to stop me carrying out my new role, and I told the recruiting manager about them already, just worried it looks dodgy due to incorrect DOB and also where they got my job as admin assistant from as I don't think I have done admin roles for about 10 years now :-/

Well, you did say it was "last known occupation". When were these cautions received?
