So we know Tesco will take Sainsburys vouchers but what about the other way round?

I am now a fully fledged member of the Tescos money saving clan, using my Sainsburys spend and save vouchers as well as vochers from the internet and magazines. This has got me wondering, can I use vouchers meant for Tecso in Sainsburys? I have lots of vouchers from the Tesco mag that you can only use in Tesco against the specific item mentioned, does anyone know if these can be used againt the total shop in Saisburys?
I have searched the forums and have not found anything that will answer this specific question but I do appologies if I have just been a little blind!

My local Sainsburys won't take ANY vouchers, even their own , unless you buy the item.
In fact I can't find ANY supermarket or shop, that will take a voucher unless you buy that product! Unlucky I guess?

Basically we'll accept any coupons with money value which scans.. That barcode must be able to scan at Sainsburys otherwise it'll get thrown out, big massive ultra big tip... Be very nice to the cashire, if you upset anyone they'll make sure you're the one to suffer.

So are you saying that, *in theory*, manufacturers' vouchers for things you haven't bought will go through? Unless the checkout person realises you haven't bought it, that is... Hmm, interesting...0 -

I think that you might have some luck using the Tesco specific vouchers in Asda but not Sainsburys.
