Hi all
Well I've signed up with Payplan for a DMP and so far have :
Opened new bank account, had wages paid into new bank account, cancelled all creditors Direct Debits, given all my priority Direct Debits my new bank account details, signed the paperwork from Payplan and set up a Standing Order to them.
Now what??
They do say to try and make token payments to creditors until I start paying Payplan ........ seeing as I have set up the S/O to Payplan does that mean that I should make token payments to the bills that are coming in now or will they take matters from here once they have my S/O??
I'm kind of just waiting around not sure whether I should be paying my creditors token payments (like £5 or £10 each) as well as paying my payplan payment? Or just totally stop with the creditors payments!?!?
Any ideas?
Cheers
Jo

hi,
I'm in the same position now but my official DMP with CCCS doesn't start til the 1st march, when I send my first payment so they've advised me to pay token payments this month with the letter I have to send (form from them) and also they'll be in touch with them too. If you've paid money to Payplan already I don't think you have to then do the token payments as well.

Thanks for your reply. My s/o to payplan is due to go out on 31st Jan but the creditors payments are all due around that time too which is why I wasn't sure!
I suppose it all depends how fast payplan are off the mark really..... I'd rather not have to try and pay both!
Think I might give them a quick email.Official DFW Nerd Club Member No: 286
