does pasta in a slow cooker work what i want to do is cooked pasta cooked chicken tin of soup + veg it works in oven on low but i thought i read some where on here that pasta doesnt work thought id check please please let me know it needs to be started thanks

At my old SW meetings there were a few members who did pasta in the s/c ....... no idea what it turned out like though - I would imagine it could quite quickly turn to mush?!?Official DFW Nerd Club Member No: 286

Pasta takes 10 mins in the micro! I really wouldn't bother with the slo-cooker to cook it.Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0

ive done it and been stiring it every hour and looks fine and actually more moist than when i normally do it in the oven
6 ltr
cooked pasta
peas(frozen)
brocolli(frozen)
carrots(cheep at local spar sell by date today)
onion(again frozen and diced no more tears)
chicken and turkey leftovers(cooked yeaterday)(could use any meat)
2 tins campbells condesed chicken soup(change to complement meat)
2 tins worth milk(or water or tinned toms etc depending on soup)
2 leeks(found in frigde)
all bunged in at bout 12 today smells lovelyi have an intermittant connection so sorry if i dont reply straight away

i would have thought that cooking pasta longer than your suposed to would make it go really mushy.

Hmmmmm...
If I wanted to make minestrone soup in the SC, when would I add the pasta pieces if I wanted the rest of the soup to be properly cooked but the pasta bits not to be mush?Operation Get in Shape

pasta didnt go mushy at all but there wasnt much liquid in there just 2 tins condense soup and 2 tins worth milki have an intermittant connection so sorry if i dont reply straight away
