Re-covering a lampshade.

How easy is it to do please when it's a table lamp shade. Coolie style I suppose you would call it. I have copydex and I have the fabric. We re-did our dining room chairs on Friday with fabric, staple gun and copydex and they look great so wondered if I could do the lampshade.

Thanks:)

It's not too hard, but you need to get the pattern shape right, get a giant piece of paper and draw round the shade while you roll it right round - if you see what I mean. That will give you a template - either add some along the top and bottom to fold over - or you could do it to fit and glue some trim round to cover the rough edges. If you use copydex, apply it to the shade and be sure to let it dry to the tacky stage before you apply the fabric - any still damp glue will seep through the fabric.
