How to clean dirty ivory diamonte wedding veil?

Hi everyone
Just a quick question, when I bought my wedding dress from eBay the lady threw in a veil for free and it's exactly what I wanted but the edges are dirty. Its a 2 tier ivory veil with little diamontes on it and it's about knee length so not sure how it got dirty
The only bit that is dirty is the pencil edging, it just looks dirty but doesn't look like stains or anything. I hope I can get it out cause I don't want anyone to notice the dirt when it's against my dress lol
Do I hand wash it in normal washing powder or do I need to use something else?
Thanks

If it was mine I would try using soap on it and hand washing the edges?

My mum did the same for mine - little bit of stain remover with some water, gentle rubbing and a bit of patience!0
