Are there fixed rate mortgages less that 2 years fixed?

Hi,

I am due to move house soon, and have found a house that we would like to modernise then sell in about a year. What would be the best to get (house is about 155k and we would put done a 20k ish deposit).

All the fixed seem to be with a penalty before 2 years. We would hope so move
in a year.

Is a tracker the answer?

Thanks for the help.

You could look at trackers but there are fixed rates with no Early Repayment Charges. SO you could leave without paying any penalties, apart from the normal mortgage closing fees.

  • Most lender offer portability which means you can transfer the mortgage to a new home within the period of the deal
