washing machine query

hi
i have a washing machine that has a cold fill that doesn't heat up-it has 3 settings, and 1 is cold..all fine so far
is it worth it-in terms of energy used to use this-i've been filling the machine in an evening, and leaving it full to soak overnight, before carrying it on the next day-in an attempt to make up for the water not being warm..will this have an economic effect in the longterm, i normally do 6-8 washes a week and could probably do half of them in this way
any thoughts?

I have a cold fill washing machine, which I must admit I didnt realise until it was delivered, I thought it would be okay plus I needed a washing machine desperate, but now we realise we are paying for it, our electric bill is really high since buying it in november,
we dont know what to do, I also do 6-8 washes a week, I have 2 messy kids under 3 and cant seem to see away of reducing the amount of washing to save money. HELP0 -
but, do u mean it fills cold and then heats the water..? mine will fill and NOT heat, thats what i'm wondering about, surely i must be able to save money this way, even only a little..Budget for Jan/Feb £240 per 4 weeks
