Need to buy a tent

I did to buy a 3/4 person sized tent. Its for my sister who loves camping at festivals ( "V" etc...).
It would need to be lightweight and fairly easy to assemble.
Its a birthday present and we are willing to spend around £50 - £100.
Thanks in advance.

How about this one here not sure if it fits your requirement but it's reduced from RRP£140 to £49. You'll need to double check but I think they have free p&p too!
Hope this helps.0 -
There is a nine man tent selling for £60 reduced from £199 but maybe it will be too big.

It's in the price plunge.0 -
That style of tent is usually fairly easy to put up once you have got the hang of it: it's sometimes hard to work out which is the front and which is the back but after a few times it's much easier. And that is definitely the style to go for rather than a ridge tent (if indeed they still sell them) as long as you can cope with not being able to stand upright inside. Having the separate compartments also means you can keep the mess out of sight when you want / need to.

I bought a 4 man tent on Ebay for about £40. It was split into 3 compartments, two for sleeping and one for general use/storage. Was quite pleased with it although its obviously a second as there are a few minor faults with it. I'd advise that you go bigger than you need as that little bit of extra room makes a lot of difference! He huihuinga taangata he pukenga whakaaro – A meeting of people; a wellspring of ideas (Maori proverb)0

This one looks good. Is the quality any good though ? Has anyone bought from here before ?
My only concern is that it may be a bit heavy ?Never buy a stupid dwarf -

I actually have two in my garage - I haven't opened them - but I'm sure that the website has the weight down as 11kg (but double check on that!) I ordered four tents from them just after Christmas two larger ones that are now out of stock and two of the one I gave the link for (planning on putting them on ebay when it gets a bit warmer).
I definitely got free delivery but my order was nearly £300. It was a while ago but I think that they offer a money back guarantee of sorts. If you want me to give you the dimensions of the box it comes in I can go out and check them for you.
You can get lots of 'festival tent' packages including sleeping bags etc. but I don't think they are as good quality, and generally they are two man dome tents.
Let me know if you want me to get the measurements for you.0 -
Just searched for Easy Camp Riva on google and came up with this just to show what they are selling for on other websites. It appears to be exactly the same tent, and it's £130. The CCCOutdoors one says nothing about them being seconds or anything like that - so it really does appear to be a bargain!0

Yes please Bunglegirl, could you tell me the measurements of the tent while packed please.
And would you say its difficult to carry ? What sort of harness / strap is there to carry it with ?
Thankyou

If you want it to be waterproof, make sure its more than 1500hh (hydrostatic head)
CCC outdoors are great, free postage and very quick too. I bought a tent from them a while ago.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0
