This thread has a Tesco bias but is just a "come all ye" as far as I'm concerned for good deals. No need to lurk. I was a bit unsure about you when you first came on the thread, as were others, just as you were about me. We both persevered and hopefully are contributing in exchange for what we get. Don't let the effort go to waste:)
I liked ur "come all ye" sounds a bit christmassey, just got the deccies up 2night. Like u say both of us got of to a somewhat unsure start ( but no hard feelings i hope ) Merry Christmas :)

Morning all, just starting to read back over the night's posts, sat here in a warm fleece dressing gown as the house tries to warm itself up from the 16 degrees it dropped to overnight, I can't cope with below 19 first thing! Sooooo tired but can't sleep, oh well! :(

and in cases where T have changed the labels i offer this in the defence of the consumer

1 cardigan. Stuck on label of £14. Rip off tag bit at the bottom of the tag has been removed.

Stick it in sale for £10. Customer thinks they are getting a bargain.

Price was probably £12 before and it got re-priced when they did the knitwear offer, so were probably only selling it for a tenner anyway before it went "on sale"

I got a cardi in T's yesterday £10 on sale, but luckily the price wasn't ripped off so I know it was £14 less than the original price :D

I notice this sort of thing in the whoopsied food, something say £3 knocked down to £2.50 at first (they're very miserly with reductions to begin with), but you could get it on a 2 for £4 offer so you're not actually saving any money. I also make a point of checking any "offers" on products against the same product in a different size, sometimes it is just a scam aimed at people who can't do the maths or don't bother checking.

    Excuse my manners! Evening everyone!
Had a super evening, we've had an early christmas with step daughter, she goes to Brunei for christmas so we've had full xmas dinner, presents & Home Alone DVD! Perfect!!

It isn't xmas without Home Alone!
I live in the city and I've got a corner shop 4 doors away from me but I boycott it because he's a robbing !!!!!!

And T's is only a 10 minute walk away.

Mums the one that WILL get snowed in, her nearest shop is about 4 miles and nearest supermarket is 15 miles away. Nearest main road from mums house is half a mile. The snow blows off our field and hits a wall on the opposite side of the lane and within a few hours the track can be 4ft deep in snow the whole half mile.

And 4ft is nothing, when we first moved to where we are now one year it was 8/9/10' deep in places.

One year I was sent home from work early and in the winter months I had company transport (tractor) and it was such a blizzard I couldn't see where I was I going. I was just pulling up to the house and I slowed right down so I didn't drive in to it and there was a break in the snow. I was 5' higher than the garden wall which is about 4' looking down in to the garden:eek:

You live in the city and you got home via tractor? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thank reminds me - does anyone know where there are any sales on - NEED a moses basket ASAP as OH left the blooming window open downstairs... a cat got in and 'sprayed' our new basket/Blanket/covers and loads of new baby clothes...
    Gutted!!

Do you think the clothes would be ok if i washed them about a gazzillion times? - The moses basket is ruined though.. ;(

The trouble with cat urine is it seeps in everywhere, clothes should be fine smell wise on a couple of hot washes, but it's the residue you have to worry about, that won't go with the smell. One of my cats left a wet stain on their bed, it was very expensive so I tried washing it out, two scoops of Vanish and a 60 degree wash and I can't smell a thing on it now.

HOWEVER that was cat bedding so their own residue in the bedding won't harm them, I personally wouldn't take the chance with baby clothes or with my own clothes, the germs/residue could cause all manner of reactions/rashes.
if i manage to get rid of the smell off the clothes - does that mean that the germs would have gone too?? - i usually wash all the new baby clothes first before putting them on - but just worried about the germs etc.....

tottally scrubbed the house now, and the smellseems to have gone... and the clothes are on the 3rd wash... and the smell seems to have gone..... but dunno if they will be safe..... the Moses basket still stinks and i cant really use harsh chemicals on it either.....

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER using the moses basket, throw it out! Cat urine actually spreads to 10x bigger than the area urinated on, the mattress in the moses basket and the basket itself will be riddled with germs and I'm sorry but there is NOTHING in the known universe that will clean that, I spent months trying to get urine out of my old mattress that my cat wee'd on, in the end I had to throw it out!

Plus unless you know this cat and its owner (i.e. it may have been feral), how do you know it's not carrying something life threatening to humans? I'll keep my eyes out for anything baby clothes relating and post it for your attention if I see anything xxx
