Im a bit of a lurker, i have a one yr old son and dont usually have time to post.
Just wanted to say thanks to you all, i bought 5 comforts today, plenty of harrys nuts, car signs, pegs, finally found some flash wipes for 25p.
Im trying really hard to find glitches or products at silly prices but cant seem to do it. Just wondering what i should be looking out for?
Really want to contribute and stop being a lurker.

Oh just remembered i got a dtd yesterday on orchids. It was a golden receipt for £15 but im to honest to go and take advantage of it. However it did make my MILs day yesterday.

ok...I've kept quiet while you guys have battled this...now I'm going to just stick my oar in....

Scamps...no ones saying dont do it...just offering friendly advice on how to do it so it lasts longer....the offers are on for days, no need to blitz the offer in one day! Do a few a day in each store...each day...same result, but spread over more SAs..therefore attracting less attention to you, the abuse of DTD and the 'glitching' product!

As regards the radar...I think you're being naive...unless you're married to the store manager, you can be caught out...trust me on this....in October I got banned from one of my locals because in their eyes I was 'actively seeking DTD'..just by hunting out the products that glitch whilst doing my ordinary shopping....and I had previously only had 2 DTDs in there!

Wouldnt want the same thing to happen to a fellow MSEr...my experience may seem extreme (and to be fair, my DTDs were a bit more expensive than coffee..although probably only the same in value as your total haul!!!)....but it just shows its down to their discretion and they can do it ...if they're trouty enough!
Sorry if I seemed to go overboard, but as the deal only lasts until mondayI thought I'd get in early before anyone else did, all the stores have restocked so I could have done it all again, but I haven't, I'm well known in my local, I drink with one of the managers, still get trouted though. I go round several stores and try the 'glitches' Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. If I find anything I put it on here. I always see people on here 'buying stuff and getting dtd for' BUT i'm being slated for buying 'too much' As somebody said. EACH TO THERE OWN.:(

  • :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: My OH says we have so much of that why arent we eating it, and I'm like cos it WILL NEVER be that price again, so we must use it wisely.

tomorrow i might work out how often he can eat them to make um last til bbd !! :rotfl: he will think ive lost the plot !

i know what you mean though not a bargain if all eaten in one go if you eat them as you usually would it saves you money

    xx

p.s loving the cadburys but am i the only one feeling ripped off by 34p :rotfl: know its cheap and will regret not buying more when its gone but feels like loads when your paying :rotfl:but then when i think of price of one little bar know its good !!

    You are ranting! lol

As I said before, 10/10 for stuffing Tesco to the max, but 1/10 for keeping both yourself and our 'abuse' of DTD as far under the radar as possible.

Do what you do but take more time and drive a few more miles to spread it around, that way the system will stay for you (and me) a lot longer!

    :)

Tend to side slightly with your thoughts FK although I can see both sides. There are of course probably quite a few lurkers who don't give a damn so your well intentioned warning to one of the "good guys/gals" (relatively speaking;) may be wasted:(.

Anyone who abuses the system could eventually spoil things not just for the active DTDrs but the thousands of people who get back a bonus for the mistakes made by Tesco without looking for it.

Having said that I cannot see DTD ending but more individuals being banned could be the Tesco solution. Not saying I would like to see it hapen to anyone on here but it could ironically be of benefit to those who take the softly softly approach?

This thread is turning in to a coupon thread and if it carries on MSE may just close this thread because of this.
The only reason there is so much coupon talk at the moment is due to the coupons in the Tesco price drop mag. Once they end on the 8th I can't see there being anymore coupon talk.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!

I having been thinking long and hard about people going a bit over the top on dtd & glitches and here's my thoughts, for what there worth;)
We all know that their are far more lurkers on here than us lovely lot that post. If a lurker comes along and sees a post like scamps who has managed a "fairly large" amount of DTD in a very short space of time what do you think they will think
"I'll have some of that!" is probably what they'll think. If you just post or mention that you got DTD on one thing a lot of lurkers wouldnt bother for one item. Can you see where I'm going with this. Through saying how much you've got away with, you are putting ideas into lurkers heads.
It's the same with coupons, the last person that asked for a coupon on here said that they'd "seen" people asking for a pdf of it on here. So they assumed it was ok to ask, in the same way that people will think it's fine to massively abuse DTD.
This is just my opinion though:p

And a very good opinion it is too, in my opinion anyways! :rotfl::rotfl:

and with nearly 4 years on here I would have expected a little more politeness and less hostility. But no matter, let's move on.
