Been up early and using some of my stash to bake, I have a banana cake in the oven and all the preparation work done for the final mixing of a fruit cake , decided to make my own rather than get the Tesco kit. It means I have used the dried fruit up I got when the 3 for 2 was on in the baking aisle. I got some reduced marzipan on the rtc shelf a few months back so will use that when I come to decorate it. Been great to use some of the stashed goodies out of the larder ::T:)Member of the HCSC0

Sorry to hear your MIL is unwell
My dad contracted MSA (not quite as bad) a couple of years ago when he was in hospital and he has been terrified of going into a hospital ever since, so I understand how your MIL feels about wanting to be at home.
I hope she is on the mend soon, sending :grouphug:The urinary infection keeps recurring. Before these infections she was still able to care for herself but now she is very frail although still mentally alert.
Need to visit Tesco today as requested cash back from the till Friday but unfortunately till assistant didn't give it to me and I forgot about it till I returned home. Called the store and after checking the till balance they have my cash for me..:):):) A good excuse to look for some bargains.
Fudge...I would love to go shopping with you :rotfl::rotfl: your finds are amazing:) Thank-you for the photos, make looking for them so much easier.

Forgive my ignorance on all things sport-related but would this be a suitable gift for a boy aged about 6 or is it too big or hard or something?
Le Coq Sportif football - £1.00
My daughter wants to buy a Christmas present for her half-brother (her Dad's son from his second marriage) and £1 is about as much as I want to pay...If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -
