I am doing all the catering myself,it will be a nice buffet,I would like to stay away from the usual sandwiches and such like.
Running the bar too so all the drinks, beers shorts and soft drinks.
Table decs like tablecloths and napkins. Some really nice ballons, fresh flowers, hope you get the general idea.:D

You could do with finding the twist poppers. They'd be fun on the tables too!!!
    :)

They also sell the table confetti. I bet if you scanned all of the packs, there's be old stock amongst em going through at daft prices!

Just got my first ever DTD thanks to you all on this board. Bought free range chicken, had no sticker on so was charged full price £8.00, and got £11.42 back plus chicken. Not sure how it was worked out, but well pleased.
  • So I'm nearly finished watching penny pinchers. I like budget bride, I think she's really sweet and fair play to her. A lot of girls her age would run up huge credit card bills going OTT on the big day and demanding the same as the she see's in those bride magazines. She's putting in the hard work, making her own table decorations and stuff and its a modest wedding but they clearly love each other and she's happy.

The guy thats scanning barcodes on his mobile - wow, thats like some MI5 !!!!!!!! love that! lol

And free lunch woman... well. The coupon thing I've not got anything to say about, but the free lunch at the charity event was tight.

While it may be true to say if you are playing by the rules you should be ok, I just get the feeling that it's going to be a repeat of when Martin told everyone to print money* and go spend it in Tesco! This resulted in them changing their coupon policy dramatically.
Hopefully the majority who saw this program will still be too lazy to search for and use coupons in the same number as Judith does, or the supermarkets will begin to feel the pinch. Restricting us to say, 2 or 3 coupons per transaction would inconvenience the most "above board" shopper too.

*Obviously not money exactly, but I do remember him on GMTV enthusiastically urging people to print off a dogfood coupon worth about £6 and to take it to Tesco for £6 free stuff!! Tesco were inundated that week and understandably not happy.

Fair comments. Had seen mention of previous coupon activities being ruined by Martin but wasn't involved at the time so didn't know what people were talking about. Now I know. Thanks

a coupon for a specific product and amount...ie. comfort 75p..is reimbursed to Ts by the product manufacturer...so they dont lose out, providing we use the coupons as per their individual t&cs....

when you could use a coupon without buying the product, the manufacturer would not reimburse...therefore Ts would effectively lose that amount...hence why once it was broadcast nationwide, it was pulled. As long as the coupns are used within the terms and conditions its highly unlikely Ts will pull coupon usage.

off to bed - getting pains - hoping its just Braxton Hicks as OH gone out for the night!!! need to rest - just in case!!!! aaaarrrggghh!!!

    good night all....

ah bless you hun...try and get some rest...and fingers crossed if it is the real deal, baby will wait til dad gets home before making his or her appearance!!! Good luck :)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!
