It's not just Tesco supermarkets that overcharge:mad:
Had a bit of a windfall so bought the good camera for christmas that I've always wanted from Jessops. Paid online with my Tesco Clubcard credit card a couple of days ago. A few hours after buying I got a text to urgently contact Tesco Finance. Phoned up and was asked about various transactions in the previous few days to check they were me. Confirmed they were, but was told that as the pattern of spending over a few days fitted with fraudulent card use they had declined the large payment for my camera. Was told that I would have to rebuy the camera as the first transaction was cancelled. Phoned them back a little later just to check that if I reordered I wouldn't get two cameras delivered? Reordered, and guess what arrived today? Yes two cameras:mad:
Phoned Tesco who confirmed that for some unknown reason they had declined the initial payment and then approved two subsequent payments. Was assured that a full investigation would take place and I would be contacted with an explanation and compensation. Phoned Jessops who couldn't understand why Tesco had done that.
As I've been charged twice when they assured me it couldn't happen do you think I could claim a massive DTD:rotfl:Awaiting a new sig0 -

I should really get a name changethis was from my older much calmer days and was related to the job I did before I was thrust into having to pay a VERY large mortgage and look after 2 growing kids by myself..........I have some very un-calm moments:rotfl::rotfl:

as far as I know, Tesco only offer DTD instore based on a SEL or price on the product/leaflet etc....even if they did offer DTD on credit card transactions, in your case they havent overcharged you as you have been sent 2 cameras. If they have declined 1 transaction, then approved the next 2...this means the transaction was put through 3 times - which is Jessops error, not Ts....Jessops shouldve contacted you when the payment was declined so you could offer alternative payment..or in your case advise them of the situation. Instead they have 'tried again' with the transaction..which Ts cc would approve as you've advised them its not fraudulent...and then you've reordered....hence the 2nd payment going through and 2 cameras being sent....the fault lies with Jessops, not Ts unfortunately!
