I couldn't eat some of the crap that bloke does, but a couple of months ago on the way back from the restuarant we spotted a dear at the side of the road that wasn't there on the way out a couple of hours earlier.
We stopped, checked it was dead (it was still warm though) and then manhandled it into the boot of the car, took it home, bled it, gutted it and skinned it that night and left it to hang overnight to bleed out fully then cut it up the next day.
20 kilos of prime venison!
We did a leg in the slow cooker for sunday dinner with an inch of red wine and stock. It was melt in the mouth nice.0 -
