Ok, back on topic... tried the McVitties and cappucino tonight and bogof didn't work. I showed CS the leaflet, she phoned duty manager, who asked her about the fine print. So the dreaded 'selected stores only' came up...cba to argue it and just got a refund.

Do what i did rung customer services ranted on about wasted journeys misleading advertising etc and they are sending me a money card for my inconvenience

Oh nearly forgot ITNG Aquadoodles (6p) found in a store not far off the end of M8. PM me for exact location. It might take 24hr for me to reply as usually busy. This was at the weekend too so cant vouch if they are still there.

Found these in the dirty wee port store today. hth
  • Well that was a looong drive. Well it seemed to be tonight anyway, seemed to take an age!

Someone had reported solihull had been checked for the wine so I didn't bother stopping there, but planned to stop at kettering for a loo break and get some fuel as its 'cheap' there at the moment. Checked the shelves and it'd been cleared. Hardly surprising with a SEL for £2.19 on the shelf. Kettering used to be a fantastic store, I'd get tons of whoopsies on my way through and it was always great for stuff that was hard to find elsewhere, but I think now the staff are very glitch savvy and get what they can plus I think one or two MSE'ers pass through here regularly too so its now a barren hunting ground for me most of the time.

I tried my luck by pulling off into slurpentine green in the hope of a few bottles and the shelves had just had 12 fresh bottles put out so I swipes those!!! SEL says £2.19 so any there won't hang about long.

Checked march and gaywood too but nothing in either. Not extras though so doubt they carry that range.

I can't remember who the OP was, but thank you, its really rather nice too!!! :)

Just popped in to have a catch up before I go to bed, well what can I say. ;)

Well done czerniacha on your good news. Really chuffed for you. :j:j:j

And well Locarr, a man of his word, I will now be dreaming of white bunnies in my sleep. ;) Good on you for being such a good sport.

And Tinyshoes' tip for today is dont' eat a DM in the evening after demolishing a lollie in the afternoon. My tastebuds have disintegrated and my tongue is so sore, it actually hurt as the chocolate dissolved. No more lollies for me (good job only bought £1 worth) and no more DMs until it's not so sore. And forgot have dentist tomorrow too.:eek:

    Night all.

My husband has just gone to bed in agony. The only thing he can think of that has caused the pain is the "whoopsie" fish he bought last night from M T and ate tonight. Be careful with your "whoopsies"!

Hope he feels better soon, I can't buy anything raw and eat it out of date, even a day, I guess he will feel the same after tonight :(

Hope this helps others and thanks to all who post the bargains and banter.
