Word of warning regarding The Sun Newspaper tomorrow......
The paper states £5 off at Tesco with Captain Crunch this usually means a selection of coupons for 50p off and £1 off etc on things that we probably wont normally buy. I can't see it being a £5 off spend voucher but could be wrong. I suggest we have a look in the newsagents first before buying just incase we waste our money.

Perhaps I'll just put the wifes tights over my head, they probably won't bother then.0 -
Just got a JTD price check from a wombled receipt of £9.25 mainly from 3 x Airwick candles £6.00 in tesco and £3.00 in adsa0
-
Ooo .... you have me thinking now ... but would a refund really work? I've just read the T&Cs on the price check page and clause 28 states ...
"Where an item on a receipt is returned and a Price Check voucher has already been redeemed in relation to this receipt, any refund offered for the item may be offered net of the Price Check voucher's value."
If you use a jtd voucher and the sa marks your receipt - would it say anywhere how much it was for? Or which items on the receipt the jtd was in relation to? It would be very difficult for them to work out by how much to dock your refund.
It is very rare in my experience that the sa marks the receipt to say a jtd voucher has been used - in fact, I can't remember the last tme they even asked to see the receipt so generally speaking you will have a clean receipt to use for a refund.
Personally I have used a jtd on many occasions and then obtained a refund with my unmarked receipt but I suppose you could get caught out with this if the receipt was marked though. A lot then would depend on the cs person you are served by and in my experience they really can't be bothered with a lot of messing about so just give you a refund.
Hmmm... thinking now... might it be safer to get the refund before using the jtd? You will always have to show a receipt for a refund but often don't have to for a jtd. Worst case scenario would then be the jtd being refused but you would already have had a full refund so would not have lost anything. If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -
Thank you grumpy1daughter will have a look in the chemist for it
also thank you sunshine, we have a plug in thing it has lavender and menthol it's great blinking expensive though but worth it if it helps. Thanks for the tip about the central heating I wasn't sure if I was doing right not having it on today. I mainly kept it off so as not to make her temp up anymore. I should be sleeping really but I feel like i'm waiting for her to wake up. Keep pondering about going to t's. It's only half a mile away but I know my luck I would go she would wake up and OH wouldn't wake up!
Hope she gets better soon Beki, it's horrible when you cant control it. I've always had really bad Bronchectisis as has my dad (stage above asthma) and the best thing for clearing chest etc is menthol crystals. You can usually get them in a chemist (sometimes have to ask as sometimes not on shelves as they look a bit odd). Disolve one or two in hot water and it's like you've stepped into a vicks bottle! They're only a couple of quid for what should last years. That's what gets me through the winter even still on the decline to 30!Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. I have to echo the praise of Menthol Crystals you can get them in most chemists but you have to ask for them, don't put too much in, they are great for head colds instead of all these drugs like Lemsip, night nurse etc. Hope your daughter is gradually improving Beki, & everyone who is ill or has a poorly little one.
Still struggling with my virus, very helpful of my doctor to say I looked better than he expected :rotfl:but I still feel like carp, sorry just about had the energy to read quickly so not many thanks in the past day or two, hope I've managed to thank those that sent me "special" pm's in the last few days.
A few things I need to do today & may have to dash off to a friends aid in the next day or two so if I'm not around or really brief its only temporary.

Have been looking for the turkey's and meatballs in both my T xtra's and can't find them:(:( Are the turkey joints fresh and are they usually near the Tesco own brand fresh chicken crowns etc (100's of them:() or are they usually somewhere else?
Have also looked and looked for the meatballs in the finest food area and the meatball area no sign either not even a SEL.....
Was wandering round town yesterday and popped into a new T Metro and found the meatballs so at least know what I am looking for! Stickered at £1.50 and scanned at that so will try them in a day or two but really wish I could find the darn turkeys just in case they glitch again!! :p Have a good [STRIKE]Tesc[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Asd[/STRIKE]WHO? day - Err....I still wish Mozzies had a better website even though they are now on MyS!

if you look on the ''todays newspapers'' thread in the morning they are very good at telling you every thing you need to know. i think it will be coupons as well (hope im wrong) they will tell you what they are for.
sorry qpr already posted
Also I think we should check the bar code before buying loads. If it is a £5 coupon, it may have the same barcode as the one that was in the free local paper, so the two wont combine.0 -
Afternoon people
Not been on here for almost a week, my wee dog died last week and I've been too upset to come on the net.
How are things in here, is it worth reading back or are we all still arguing?
Have I missed any bargains/glitches, can someone please give me a quick update on what I should be looking out for. TIAI'm not really a new user, just wanted a new username
Baby on board, due 06/03/20120
