I'm doing a hamper for my Mum and I managed to get a shoe box full of lovely crafty bits for her off of ebay for a very very good price. I've sorted through the shoe box and made it a bit less higgeldy-piggeldy but I've no idea what to do about giving it to her! The only thing I can currently think of is to buy a crafters box that has all different compartments but I've spent more than I wanted to on this already. It's all different things, die cuts, embellishments, papers of various sizes, beads...

Why not just cover the shoe box in wrapping paper, and use tissue paper or shredded paper inside? She will probably enjoy sorting through it all herself, I think it will be quite exciting to open and look through if it is higgledy-piggledy inside.Debt at LBM (17/10/08) £5727.61 Debt free date 31/08/090

I did a craft bowl once for a little girl, wrapped tons of tiny craft things in her 2 favourite coloured tissue paper and gave them in a purple plastic lampshade (it was given to me and exactly like a bowl with a hole I covered). Added a little sparkly shred. Took ages to open and looked excitingBest wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

I like the idea of covering the shoe box and throwing some sparkly stuff in there, I think wrapping it all would unfortunately take far too long - the papers don't really fit in so they can go in the hamper by themselves I think. Thanks guys£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0

Asda had some tool-type boxes that they were selling off cheaply recently. I can't remember the exact price, but they were approx £5/10 - had two levels and were pull along types. Possibly out of budget but might be worth ringing to ask if not?Princess Sparklepants0

Might be worth asking a supermarket for a smallish box and seeing if you can fashion something out of it? (or wrap it in christmas paper?)
I wrapped a teapigs box up in wrapping paper as part of a present last night, works surprisingly well.0 -
Buy some cheap red or green crepe paper to act as packaging, screw into loose balls to ensure the box wont rattle when shook, items like beads are better placed in jiffy bags or there original wrapping to ensure items do not get mixed up together. Your looking at pennies not pounds to decorate the package accordingly, your Mum will love it.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
