I have a concept for a new reality TV show where Kirstie Allsopp knocks on the doors of a hard working private rental family every week, asks them how much rent they pay, how long their list is of things the landlord won't fix, and how many times they've been forced to move in the last 3 years, and then actually p1sses herself laughing on camera.
She can then explain to them how much better off they would be by quitting work and signing on and claiming benefits.
I presume most of the people who have formed the last two governments would like it anyway.
Millions of council tenants would be allowed to buy their homes at half price under government plans to extend the right-to-buy.
The discount, double that currently available, is part of the government's long-awaited, and much delayed, housing strategy paper, due to be published on Monday.
The average saving for council tenants buying their home would increase from £26,000 to £52,000. In London and the south-east, where property prices are highest, the discount could rise from £38,000 to £76,000.

Where did this hard working family saying originate from? You hear it a lot but when I worked in private practice it was usually the guys that had a family left on time or not much later so they could actually see their family (i.e before the children go to bed). Whereas I/we would stay late, I'm not complaining I got paid a lot more for putting the job first over everything else, but in my experience it was NOT the family guys that tended to stay late at the office.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
Hard working families are the backbone of Britain and least you forget it. For all the extra time you put in at the office benefiting yourself and only yourself, these hard working families are busy producing and nurturing the next generation of pension fund providers. I have no beef with this. You song more bitter and twisted from having never met a mate.0

Who is bitter and twisted? As I said in my original post 'I'm not complaining' at the time the situation suited me fine. Where do you get never met a mate from? I am now very happily married and have been for the last 3 years! I was looking back around about a decade when I was single. Take a pill and chill for gods sake!
Seems to me if anyone is being bitter and twisted it's you!Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

I am married now and do all that, believe me it isn't as onerous as working late at the office. Nowadays I even have time to do voluntary work for a dog rescue centre.
My old age pension is going to be selling (and reinvesting the proceeds) of the business that I spent the last 20 years (and the next 10) building up. Plus the one I sold 3 years ago that I started in 1979.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

Jesus, get a grip of your senses boy. Your pension might be fine as you selfishly provide for yourself like a squirrel burying his nuts. All the while you berate others for having their children, who will eventually be working to provide all our pensions. With such greed and selfishness I can tell you're a bear. Pathetic.0 -

A bear! My wife and I have have 9 properties (including the house we live in, the others are investments). Which is why you have thanked me so many times in the past, for my 'bull posts' although a thanks from a fool such as you is as meaningless as a bear getting a thanks from rewired.
Who is berating others for having a children? are you drunk?Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

Just because we agree over housing doesn't mean we agree over everything. Idiot.0 -

The point was not about agreeing you fool it was demonstrating that I am a bull (or least fit the role as it fits on this website). I think you must be drunk (or perhaps just stupid), your reasoning is all over the place.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0
