paying off endowment

Have 2 endowments maturing in 4 years time after 25 years, one for £27500 with profits ,the other £4500 without profits . Come into some cash and want to pay mortgage off, will cost me £31500 total . Both were due to shortfall . Thinking of cashing in small endowment and keeping the big one going , with friends prov by the way. Can anyone tell me if i am making right decision or is it best to cash the lot in.
