Hi thanks for responses, I'm doing well thanks! Car seems ok; it may have been post-service oil dripping but I need to have a proper look at it tomorrow, and maybe take it to the garage if it isn't right. It's still running ok.
I am sticking to the budget and don't feel deprived. Easy to cut the food budget but i did have a chinese takeaway (tofu) today for £6. - as pushed for time but have not spent money all week and tomorrow I do sensible food shop. Last night I was taken to dinner ; doing ok; that doesn't happen often.:)
Had to buy some tickets for myself and a friend for something next June which I promised; used my cc for first time as didn't have enough in current account but he is paying me for his and I got it for him as a favour as he's away. He's going to take me to lunch next weekend too. I haven't planned any hols until this long weekend in June 2012 so the tickets are for that (festival). So I can justify as it is me planning ahead. That way I know I'll have some fun, particularly in the summer and i'll have more money by then if I stick to my budget and nothing goes wrong eg car.:)
I also bought a haircut on Groupon and had to use cc for that, £28 but not had it cut for over two months. For central London that's very good and within my new budget (as yet not written as SOA but hope to get time this weekend). :A0 -

Hi - I've posted under motoring section about the oil leak - got lots of help and a few jokes..:). I'm not panicking too much now but do need to have a proper look at it. Can't see it leaking at moment but I've not seen it in daylight; will do tomorrow.0 -
Well thankfully there is no major problem with the little Fiesta. Mechanic had a look and found a loose bolt on the sump which was causing the leak. He also had to siphon out some oil as I had overfilled it since I saw the leaks.:o. Was just being on the safe side with that. So panic over and hopefully no more big motoring expenses for a good few months, apart from high fuel costs of course.
My friend told me he gets 80 mpg out of his newish Citroen C1. That is about double the mileage I get. I'm going to have to make a sensible decision some time next year and work out whether it is worth me getting something like that for the longer term. It's boxey and horrible though, I prefer my old banger lol.0 -

Yay, that's great news about the leak! Are you up to much this weekend?0 -
Thanks yes and they were fine to just look at it straight away there and then while I watched and they were very relaxed and chatty. Makes me have even more faith in them and I always have felt he was a decent bloke.
It's been a very cheap weekend so far. I usually go to salsa Fri and Sat nights and sometimes Thurs but I went on Thurs and have had a headache all day today. Not been out but done lots of housework. Meeting a friend tomorrow night just for a drink or a night in. Still got very painful head.
How is your weekend going? Up to much?0 -
I've put the evening to good use anyway:D.
Not sure whether it formatted correctly. Now I can see how much I really can save.
The £0 for clothes is until the end of May 2012. After that I'll review my situation and my wardrobe, may extend this..
