I am so bored of sitting around doing nothing.
I have an OH that works very hard when he is at work so when on holiday he likes to do nothing at all......
I have been pottering but I find when he is at home I can't settle to anything as he will then feel guilty that he is sitting doing nothing and offer to help.....while I appreciate the offer I am usually doing something that I just want to get on with and don't require any help.

I am really quite looking forwardto getting back to work and a proper routine again.

I have however been very good and not spent much money....the only sale I have been to was Sainsbugs and that was cards and wrapping paper for next Christmas.

My DD does need new school trousers so I may venture out later to see if I can get some.

A quiet New Year is planned in this house and then a last day out tomorrow before spending Monday preparing to go back to work and school.

As the new year is upon us I have joined Benben in a little challenge....mine is to lose 7lb and attend 4 Zumba classes in January....hoping this will motivate me to finally tackle the weight I have piled on.

Roses moments have been many this festive season.....I have seen lots of delighted faces when the gifts have been opened.....my DD and little GD's smiley happy faces......my littlest GD wanting to walk through the leaves.....looking at the world through a 2 year old's eyes is fantastic.

May you all have happy, healthy and MSE New Years :)

So first day of the new year and I weighed in at 15st 3lb, which is a stone heavier than my last weightloss attempt when I got to goal 3 years ago.
Today's eating has been minimal and I have done some walking so that's all good.

So my aim is to lose 7lb in January without the aid of expensive weightloss groups but I will be attending 1 Zumba class a week.
I am going with the eat less move more thinking.

MSE wise I am going to start PADing again. This worked for me when I began my DF journey but has stopped due to mid winter festivities.
So I will be PADing weekly on a Friday which I like to call PAWing.

I will be starting a new spreadsheet for the year tomorrow and working out how much I spent on Cheistmas this year and saving a 12th of that every month.

So onwards and downwards in more ways than one :)

    Morning all.

The spreadsheet has been started and I have completed 3 months of payments on it.
Currently it is looking good and manageable.
I rounded down my bank account and made a payment of £7.91 to nasty CC (the one I want rid of first)

Today will be a doing day.
Preparing for the back to work, back to school day tomorrow.
DD has her swimming lesson later so we will be off to that and I need to do a small fresh shop for pack-ups tomorrow and petrol in the car.

Roses moment will be watching DD swimming she loves it and is getting on really well.

Well that's the first day back to work finished.
I was nearly late home as I lost track of time and it was strangely nice to be back to some normality.

The weather is awful here - blowing a gale and rain in buckets - it makes you go

Roses moment - it was a NSD and I don't get them very often :o

    Morning All,

Well I think I may have booked a holiday yesterday :j

It is a week all inclusive and I am so excited as I have reached a ripe age of 47 and never been on a package holiday abroad (so where did all this debt come from????)

So I shall be holding tight to the purse strings so I can pay for the holiday without incurring any further debt and taping my mouth shut so I can lose weight!!

Other than paying the deposit for the holiday yesterday was another NSD and I took back to gifts to M&S and recieved a credit of £47.
OH wants some new slippers and one of the gifts was his so I shall be looking out for the ones he likes to come into our M&S.

Off to organise the pack lunches for the day....hope it's not too wet and windy where you are :)

So looks like a little up date is needed.

Weight - lost 2.5lb so really pleased with that as aiming for 7lb loss in January so a good start.
Going to my first ever Zumba class tonight (can't see that being a Roses moment :))
Shopping this week came in at £42 - I have a budget of £75 per week and I don't think I will need anything else so any difference come Friday will go into savings.

Car breakdown cover is due to renew today - I have to have the whole package and the renewal came in at £209  so a quick quote online from R*C and then a phone call to cancel and I got it with my original company for a £1 less than the quote from the R*C at £134 so a lovely big saving of £75 :T

Roses moment- a quiet, cuddly family weekend :)
