Making Token Payments

Hi, im currently going through the IVA set up process with a IP. Ive been advised to make token payments to my creditors this month. My wages have gone into my bank and I usually pay my credit cards via internet banking. Should I make the payments via the internet and then write to my creditors to tell them? Its just payment dates are due in the next week or so, and Im worried I may not be able to get letters out in time. Barclay Card and Abbey(MBNA) have written to me advising they know im seeking an IVA. Citi, TSB and Halifax havent contacted me yet.

Kind Regards
Scandy

  • I too am going through IVA application.
I was told to make token payments through the bank using the giro slips at the bottom of the CC statements.
This is what I have done
I was told that I didnt have to contact the companies as they would do that.
We have unplugged the phone as the phone calls were increasing
