I'm wanting to start using the slow cooker again now the weather's cold, but the glaze on the crock pot (the bit that goes inside iyswim) has cracked in a sort of crazy paving pattern which means the liquid leaks through the ceramic a tiny bit. Do you think I could (carefully!) line it with foil or something each time I use it or do I need a new one? If I can would you line the inside or outside of the pot?

If the pot itself is not leaking I do not see a problem.
There should be no problem in cooking in an unglazed pot.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
It is leaking ariba, the fluid leaks through the ceramic pot to the heated metal bit underneath. I have a feeling this is quite unhygenic because obviously I can't clean right through it? It also burn and makes the food taste burnt and bitter. So, there are these boys,

With a leak there's a real possibility that it's weakened enough to completely split open while you're cooking. I personally wouldnt take the chance.0
