You can only get a CCJ if you are taken to court and then fail to pay what the court orders you to within 20 days. When you say "the amount in full" do you mean what the court ordered you to pay? I would phone the court up and check their records, and if nothing shows up, I would get bank statements etc to prove that payment was sent so you can have this wiped off your file.B.A - Shut up fool!0

so, if they did go to court and get a CCJ as your credit report suggests, effectively they got a CCJ for a debt that no longer existed?
You can search online public records for CCJs (I think you have to pay about £10 per address). This should give you the date to compare against your records.
Does the date of the CCJ on your credit report help?
Edit: No idea how you would go about getting this overturned though.:beer:0 -
If the ccj was issued in error, due to you paying prior to the issue first contact southern water to ask for it to be raised as a complaint. Request that they contact the court with the error and for it to be withdrawn. This will save you paying the court fee.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Also see if you can find the terms and conditions online. Some water companies say 'if we issue a court claim in error we will compensate you £X.' It might be just what you need for your DRO fee.
Talking to the Water Board will also give you a current balance figure which you can put in your DRO.0 -
Not as generous as I thought...Incorrectly issued County Court claims
If we incorrectly issue a County Court claim against you in respect of a debt for which you are not liable, and for which you have previously informed us that you are not liable, we will correct the situation, withdraw the fees and costs and either send you a £25 payment or credit your account with £25.
Debt Collection In some circumstances, we refer customers’ debts to debt collection agencies. The agencies we use are registered with the Office of Fair Trading and are members of the Credit Services Association and subject to its Code of Practice. Southern Water also audits these companies’ policies and procedures on an annual basis. In the unlikely event that a debt is pursued this way in error or the debt collection agent acts improperly we will either send you a £25 payment or credit your account with £25.
Written Complaints We aim to make a full response to a written complaint within five working days of receiving your letter. If we fail to provide a response within 10 working days we will either send you a £25 payment or credit your account with £25.
If we fail to send you a refund cheque or credit your account within 10 working days of our reply, you will be entitled to a further penalty payment of £10.0
