Hello,
Does anyone know how to get the likes of Wonga, Quickquid etc off your back?
I owe thousands.
But they take the money or interest straight from the bank account.
I'm prepared to pay them back, but I can't straight away.
Is there anyway they'll reduce the interest?

you need to cancel your bank card, set up a brand new account with another bank.

contact wonga... collections@wonga.com or balanceoffer@wonga.com to negotiate a payment plan.

make all payments via a standing order, or they will clean you out.

SOme companies are easier to deal with than others...

the notorious bottom of the tank companies are:

    Payday Express
    Mini credit
Promo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?

Visit the Debt-Free Wannabe part of the forum for help.

They're usually best for this sort of thing.

    Good luck.

(Oh, and open a basic bank account elsewhere and start using that for wages).

From someone in £6k worth of the same trap, the key step is getting yourself a bucket and spade and digging your head out of the sand!

Write down a list of exactly what you owe to who and work from there. Start with Wonga, I had zero problems with getting those to set up a frozen interest repayment plan.

The rest I can't advise as I got financial help from my parents to resolve the rest after admitting my gambling addiction but I realize you may not have the same luxary so good luck to you.

Don't let them intimidate you!
