Terms and Conditions

MSC Mediterranean cruise competition

This competition is run by Opodo Limited whose registered office is at Waterfront, Hammersmith Embankment, Chancellors Road, London W6 9RU. Please send any postal correspondence regarding competitions to the attention of the Cruise Team at the above address.
No purchase is necessary to take part in this competition. The competition is available on the internet and is open to UK residents only who are aged 18 or over.
In order to enter, participants must answer all the questions in the Opodo cruise survey 2011, and enter a valid email address. By doing so, participants are agreeing to receive regular email communications from Opodo. Should participants decide that they no longer wish to receive emails from Opodo, they can unsubscribe at any time.
The competition will run from 15 November to 16 December 2011. All participants who answer all the questions will be entered into the prize draw automatically. One entry per person only.
Information provided by Participants by entering this competition will be used by Opodo (and Opodo's agents involved in running the competition) for the purposes of this competition and for informing the Participants of Opodo's offers or of any other marketing activities of Opodo. In all other respects Opodo's privacy policy shall apply. The competition is not open to employees or contractors of Opodo or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organisation and running of the competition or their direct family members. The prize winner will be invited to take part in publicity after the competition to the extent customary for similar competitions.
Determination of the winner:

The winner will be determined by 21 December 2011. The judge's decision concerning the determination of the winner will be final.
The winner will be sent an email providing further information about the prize he/she has won and how to redeem it. The winner will be required to confirm acceptance of the prize by replying to the email within 7 days of receipt. If the winner does not confirm acceptance of his/her prize within 7 days he/she will automatically forego the rights to claim for the prize.
The prize:

There will be one prize available.
The prize consists of one confirmed MSC inside cabin based on 2 passengers sharing for any 7 day Mediterranean cruise which departs for sailing between Jan – May 2012 subject to availability. Blackout dates apply between 30 Mar and 15 Apr 2012.
This prize is valid for 7 day Mediterranean cruises operated by MSC Cruises Limited only. This is for cruise only and does not include any flights.
The prize is non- transferable, non-refundable and non-endorsable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
The inside cabin on any cruise are subject to availability and it will be at MSC Cruises Limited sole discretion to allow the prize to be taken on a cruise where an inside cabin is not available.
Your prize can be booked at any time but the relevant 7 day Mediterranean cruise must depart for sailing between Jan – May 2012. No extensions to the departure sailing period shall be permitted.
Once tickets have been issued, they are valid for the cruise booked only. No changes will be permitted. Both passengers must travel together.
The prize does not include any excursions or any additional extras or activities which are not part of the Cruise as defined by MSC Cruises Limited terms and conditions. This prize is not combinable with the onboard credit offer for completing the survey and as such no onboard credit will be provided to the prize winner.
The tickets cannot in any circumstances be sold or auctioned.
The winner should consider the following:

Opodo gives no guarantee that the prize will be available for the preferred dates of travel of the winner but will use reasonable endeavours to arrange suitable alternative dates. Please note you must request your cabin at least 14 days before the date on which you wish to travel.
Tickets must be used by the winner plus one companion travelling together. It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure that he/she plus companion arrange, where necessary, travel insurance, passports and visas at their own expense.
The prize is limited to the provision of one inside cabin for a 7 day Mediterranean cruise subject to these terms and conditions. The winner and the person accompanying him/her will be responsible for all costs associated with the journey, for example getting to and from the relevant departure ports, any additional accommodation not onboard the ship and other expenses during their stay.
Limitation of liability:

Opodo reminds Participants of the nature and limitations of the Internet and does not accept any responsibility for any occurrences resulting from the Participants' connection to the Internet via the Opodo website. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible or fraudulent entries.
In particular, Opodo does not accept responsibility for any damage (whether material or non-material) caused to Participants, to their computer equipment or to data which are stored on them, or to their personal, professional, or commercial activities.
Further, Opodo shall not be responsible if one or more Participants are unable to connect to the Opodo website or to participate in this competition, or if the entries of one or more Participants are late or lost, due to any technical problem or any problem linked to congestion of the Internet.
In the event of circumstances arising outside of Opodo's control, which in Opodo's opinion make it necessary to suspend, change or cancel the competition, Opodo reserves the right to suspend, change or cancel the competition at any time.
If for any reason Opodo is unable to provide the prize, Opodo will use reasonable endeavours to reasonably replace it with another prize of greater or equal value.
Opodo shall not be responsible for the fulfilment of the cruise. Once bookings have been made, the responsibility for the cruise shall be with MSC Cruises Limited. All cruise arrangements shall be governed by the standard conditions of carriage of MSC Cruises Limited.
By participating in the competition you declare that you accept these Terms and Conditions unconditionally.
