looking for a fixed rate, so much choice... please help

    Be quick about it though, we missed on a 5.09 last week because it was withdrawn the following day, and looks like we're going to miss out on a 5.38 this week for the very same reason.

    I am beginning to lose the will to live tbh.

    what do you mean when you say you missed out on the rate last week and mayby on one this week. have you put an offer on a house yet???

    Oh yes, had an offer accepted before Christmas, but they weren't in a position to move, as had found nowhere.

    They found a place a week or more ago, so we started the solicitors off on the searches, and saw about getting the mortgage sorted. 5.09% was still around, but was withdrawn immediately.

    But our advisor has helped us this evening to get the 5.38% fixed rate one with the Nationwide - phew!
