self employed loan

i took a loan out last year with lloyds tsb as they are my bank and the rate as 6.9% i think, as it is a graduate loan i can make early repayments and finish loan early with no stings!
Being self employed meant i couldnt access northern rock for a loan is there anywhere else i can go to get a better rate with similar rules on repayments? p.s only self employed fro 1 year

how much are you wanting??? Northern rock don't need proof of inc if under £10k.

at moment loan is at 8.5k, i took it out for 10k and 8.5 outstanding

it may be that someone posted a spam post at the end of the line of messages, which has since been deleted. Dont take offence.

To get back to your original point although NR dont ask for proof of income they will probably ask for your employment status, and being self employed will probably put you at a distinct disadvantage. They may well price for risk you so you pay a higher rate than the headline even if you are accepted.

Personally i think in your circumstances you will be lucky to match the generous terms that LTSB provide you.
