Shower attachment for bath with square plugs?

Our shower is knackered so we need to use the bath, we bought a cheap shower attachment hose but it won't go on our square bath taps - does anyone know if you can get attachments that fit these kind of taps? Or have any suggestions on what to do? OH isn't keen on having baths...

Thanks!

  • Cheaper and easier to switch the taps to a mixer thungummywotsit, TBH.

Can't change taps unfortunately as we're in rented accommodation. If only the landlord would fix the shower!

We've got a similar problem (but round taps) and we're using some hose clips to grip the shower attachment to the taps - I think that's what they're called, they're the little metal bands that you can tighten with a screwdriver, you put them round washing machine hoses. It's a semi-permanent solution in that you can't take them off and on so it makes it hard to fill the bath, but it's meant that we can have a reasonable shower. If you can find an attachment that fits on the square taps, this might help.

Thanks for the suggestion (jubilee clips?) - it's a good idea but like you said, I think our problem will be finding an attachment big enough to actually get onto the taps though- I've looked in a few places and they all seem to be the same size. Currently thinking of trying a portable battery operated camping shower - got to be better than nothing?!
