FIT's - Wind AND Solar?

I already have solar PV (3.87Kw system) but have been approached by a company regarding a wind turbine. Similar to rent a roof but for a turbine - they are talking about a 5Kw one where basically they get the FIT and we get free electric with a "right to buy" at any time option too. Does anyone know if its possible to get FIT for wind AND solar at the same time?

I believe that there are complications regarding feeding in over 4kW into the grid which requires special permission. I'm sure someone who knows more details will answer your question soon.

Where in the UK do you live? - Presumably out in the country.

A 5kW turbine will need to be mounted on a mast as the vibration if attached to house can be considerable - invalidate insurance??

What about noise? For you and neighbours.

Playing the Devil's Advocate, what would happen if you and/or neighbours found the noise intolerable?

I live in Norfolk and am surrounded by fields. No immediate neighbours. I envisage the mast (15m with 5m blade) will be situated some distance from my house in a paddock with open farmland either side. Re noise, I would want to see (and hear!) a similar turbine before progressing further!
