Can I pay extra into a loan that doesn't let me?!?!

We have a personal loan that we would like to pay into but it's a fixed rate one that doesn't allow extra payments..however, due to a lack of funds one month we missed the DD and were told to manually transfer the funds from our bank account. My question is this........if we could do it then and it was accepted.....do you think I can make extra wee payments to it? We only have 1 year left on it but after paying off our overdraft I'm keen to use that £100 a month to pay off the loan!

Thanks...x

  • I don't know if this applies to you but I have a loan the same and once a month I send them a cheque for however much I've manage to scrape together. Sometimes it's only £10 and sometimes it could be £300. I get a statement after the cheque has cleared and the term of it has been shortened.
