No i havent been to gibsons - i am told its the talk of the town But i have yet to have the pleasure

I work for charlie as i was made redundant so had to find a job quickly and it was over christmas. I have applied for a job in morda so hopefully it will be a hell of a lot better than working for CPW.

My friend lives in Wrexham and comes over to Oswestry for a night out - would have thought they would have had a better night in wrexham plus there is a subway there!!!!!

Prefer it across the border myself, wrexham has some trouble pubs (that usually spill out) - Think this thread has well and truly been hijacked now.

Know Morda quite well too - have few friends live just round that area

Anyway back to topic/my rant....

Jus had a letter today from barclays telling me they have charged me £30 because i have gone £13.82 over my overdraft :mad:

I have this second got off the phone to them calling them all the names under the sun and set a complaint in.

I have threatened them if they do not refund the £30 for the sake of £13.82, i will close my account and change banks! (shhh )

I will be getting a call in the next few days, i was basically told i should manage my money better.... to which i replied " maybe that would be possible if you theiving gits would stop taking my money"


Everything I had was with barclays, account, loan, credit card, savings...

And gradually i am taking everything away from them!!!

I cant wait till my new account is set up with A&L!!

thinking of moving to A&L myself, just need to get some money into old account before i move to cover DD's and stuff, just to ensure i dont miss a payment

I saw that you have a barclay card - mine is being cancelled as soon as my interest free one gets here. I only have £300 on there anyway, but everything i have thats associated with Barclays is being got rid of!

Just recently gone from Nat West to A&L. DDs fine apart from Powergen however I think this was Powergens problem, not A&L. Internet is OK, same standard

Their branches are very rude and have a daft policy of not accepting more than 5 bags of change per day, which as I had 9 they would not accept 4. A person who was not serving me explained this because the Window I was at was going to accept them. The 'other' person raised her voice while walking away from me to ensure I, and the rest of the bank, could hear.

The people in front of me had a complaint and a couple at the customer service desk were also complaining.

My OH has had problems in another branch too.

I am just hoping that this is just beginners UNluck and I don't need anything complicated from them!!

My only problem going with A&L is when i move to Oswestry full time then my nearest branch (that i know of) will be Wrexham.

I hardly ever need to go to the bank - good job really
