Payplan V Cccs - Which Is The Best?

As previously posted I've already spoken with Payplan and they've taken all our details and we're waiting for info on IVA's and DMP's.
Does anyone know which is the better company to deal with?
If I decided I'd prefer to go with CCCS could I tell Payplan I'd changed my mind (we've not signed anything)?
God I don't think I have EVER been so confused!

I'm with Payplan, so don't know anything about CCCS except for what I've read on here, which has been positive. They are pretty similar I think, both not for profit companies. I signed up with Payplan because they were recommended by my trade union. But I'm sure CCCS are fine too.Total debt May 2005 £83,232

I'm with the CCCS, they have been fantastic.
They managed to secure 0% interest with all 6 of my creditors and the people on the phone are friendly too! :j0 -
We're with CCCS - the great thing about them is that Wonder_Girl, who helps out loads on here, works for them, so loads of inside advice and guidance available.
I'm sure Payplan are great too but CCCS have been fantastic for us.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Payplan are a Company , they are not "not for profit".
If you look at the top of the board you will notice that payplan have been removed as "not for profit".0 -
Does that mean I'm better going with CCCS then?DFW Nerd # 305

Ignore previous post, stay as you are,Payplan have been excellent for us,all debts have had interest stopped, most creditors have agreed to plan and ALL payments made to Payplan go to our creditors.
CCCS and Payplan work in the same way and neither charge for their services,I don't think either is better than the other
if you have already started the ball rolling with Payplan, why change? Debt at highest £102k

Both Payplan and CCCS are very good and will have your best interests at heart. They are just as good as each other with the added benefit that Payplan can also do IVAs if you decide to go down that route.
I'd stick with PP for now. Nothing to stop you going to CCCS too to see if they come back with similar options for you.Debt as at 12th July 2006 - £61,345
Debt free 21st Oct 2011.
All thanks to :money:0 -
They both provide the same service - for which BTW we are all very grateful. For me it was the first one that got back to me after I had left a message. I would imagine that you are keen to get on so if you are already n the way with Payplan, stick with them as it could take another 6 weeks to go through the entire process again with CCCS.
